Golden Eagles ink floor general and multi-sport standout Evie Freeman from Florida's Bolles High
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball is proud to announce the signing of Evie Freeman, a dynamic guard from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. A proven floor general, Freeman brings leadership, toughness, and a relentless motor to the Golden Eagles. She has been a cornerstone for head coach Kelly Stevenson’s Bolles program, guiding the Bulldogs to a 25-6 season, claiming district and regional championships and finishing as the Class 3A state runner-up in 2025.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Women's Basketball is proud to announce the signing of Evie Freeman, a dynamic guard from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida.
A proven floor general, Freeman brings leadership, toughness, and a relentless motor to the Golden Eagles. She has been a cornerstone for head coach Kelly Stevenson's Bolles program, guiding the Bulldogs to a 25-6 season, claiming district and regional championships and finishing as the Class 3A state runner-up in 2025.
Freeman averaged 13.4 points, 5.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.9 steals per game in her junior season, earning First Team All-Area honors. Known for her defensive intensity and ability to control the tempo, she is the type of player who makes everyone around her better.
"Evie plays the game with a fire and passion that are contagious," said Tech head coach Kim Rosamond. "She's a leader on the floor, a competitor in every sense of the word, and the kind of player who raises the level of everyone around her. We are excited about the grit, energy, and defensive toughness she'll bring to Tennessee Tech."
Off the court, Freeman shines in multiple sports. She is a school record-holder in the 100m, 200m, 4×100 relay, and long jump, earning First Team All-Area honors in track while showcasing elite speed and explosiveness.
Freeman also sharpened her game with Duval Elite, one of Florida's premier travel basketball programs, competing against some of the nation's best talent.
"I chose Tennessee Tech because it truly felt like home," Freeman said. "The coaches, my future teammates, and the entire Cookeville community made me feel so welcomed and supported. The love they have for women's basketball is unmatched. Wings up!"
Freeman plans to major in business/marketing at Tennessee Tech. With her leadership, athleticism, and passion, she embodies the Golden Eagle standard and is set to make an immediate impact in Cookeville.
