GULF SHORES, ALA. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team made it a second-consecutive checkmark in the win column as the Golden Eagles topped Coastal Alabama with a 6-1 victory Friday morning in Gulf Shores.
Tech (6-6) captured the doubles point with wins in all three matchups before the purple and gold carried their success into singles play with triumphs in five of the six battles. The Golden Eagles have now won six of their last eight affairs.
"Proud of the guys today," Tech head coach Mark Klysner said. "They took care of business against the No. 11 JUCO team in the country. I think it was a nice challenge for us before we start conference play next week."
