Tech tennis back in action with Friday morning meeting at Coastal Alabama

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team is set for another one-match weekend as the Golden Eagles will clash with Coastal Alabama on Friday morning. First serve in Gulf Shores, Ala. is slated for 9 a.m. CT.
A look at Tennessee Tech
Tech's tangle with the Coyotes marks the second-consecutive match in the state of Alabama, following a 4-0 win at Alabama A&M on Mar. 13 in the purple and gold's last clash. The Golden Eagles (5-6) captured the doubles point in the win over the Bulldogs in addition to seizing all three completed singles get-togethers.
Alex Alvarez in the No. 2 position, Davids Spaks in the No. 3 slot and Ricard Garavi Yepez in No. 6 all earned solo victories in the triumph.
Alvarez and Spaks lead the Golden Eagles with five singles wins each. The pair has also teamed up to post a 5-4 doubles record out of the No. 1 slot. Diego Munoz and Murilo Burkhardt are also 5-4 in tandem action this season.
After an 0-4 start to the spring, Tech has posted a 5-2 mark over its last seven affairs.
A look at Coastal Alabama
The Coyotes connect with the Golden Eagles as the No. 11th ranked team in the Junior College national rankings. Coastal Alabama holds a 14-7 overall record and has posted a 10-2 account in the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC).
The Coyotes are coming off a 7-0 loss to another NCAA Division I foe in the form of Chattanooga on Tuesday.
