INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its 2025 Fall Academic Honor Roll and a significant shade of purple and gold made its way on the prestigious list.
The Tennessee Tech tennis team was well represented behind six different Golden Eagles securing the academic accolade. Alex Alvarez, Lucas Bitzer, Murilo Burckhardt, Oliver Dao, Elyad Oshnavie and Davids Spaks all took home spots on the League's list of achievement in the classroom.
To be recognized on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
- Participate in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
- Must have completed three semesters as a full-time student at the same member institution.
- Must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
Tech's series of honors continues a strong tradition of academic success within the tennis program after the Golden Eagles were named the Small Academic Team of the Year at the 2025 Golden Wings Awards.
