Derek Stribling named to all-tournament team in Charleston
Junior forward Derek Stribling was Tech's lone player elected to the Saturn Shootout all-tournament team held at the College of Charleston on December 28-29. Stribling had double-digit scoring figures in both of Tech's games, including 21 points and six rebounds in the Golden Eagles overtime victory over Harvard. The previous night he had 17 points in Tech's loss to Saint Peter's.
CHARLESTON, S.C. - Junior forward Derek Stribling was Tech's
lone player elected to the Saturn Shootout all-tournament team held
at the College of Charleston on December 28-29. Stribling had
double-digit scoring figures in both of Tech's games, including 21
points and six rebounds in the Golden Eagles overtime victory over
Harvard. The previous night he had 17 points in Tech's loss
to Saint Peter's.
Other members of the all-tournament team are Josh Jackson, Stanley Jackson and Tony Mitchell of the College of Charleston, Matt Stehle of Harvard and Keydren Clark of Saint Peter's who was named MVP of the tournament.
The Golden Eagles finished third overall in the Saturn Shootout. The College of Charleston won the tournament with an 85-80 win over Saint Peter's in the championship game.
