Tech Men’s Golf Competes In-State at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate
Tennessee Tech men’s golf continues its spring slate at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24 in Dickson, Tennessee.

DICKENSON, Tenn. - Tennessee Tech men's golf continues its spring slate at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate Monday, March 23, and Tuesday, March 24 in Dickson, Tennessee.
Tech is coming off an eighth-place finish at the 2026 Peoples Championship, where the Golden Eagles closed the event at 854 (+2) behind rounds of 288‑280‑286.
Junior Haden Maxwell led the Golden Eagles with a tie for fourth at 206 (-6) after turning in rounds of 70‑68‑69 and sinking 12 birdies, including one of the field's best Par‑4 scoring marks. Maxwell earned OVC Golfer of the Week for the fifth time during the 2025-26 competition schedule.
Maxwell continues his standout season, finishing in the top ten in 5 out of the 7 tournaments the Golden Eagles have competed in. Bryson White had added a steady performance with a tie for 22nd at 213 (E), posting three straight rounds of 71 and finishing among the tournament's top birdie producers with 13.
Cooper Gettler tied for 30th at 215 (+2), highlighted by a second‑round 70 and 12 birdies of his own. Matthew Shull followed with a 219 (+6) tie for 55th, while Nick Etherton and Alex Broyles had rounded out Tech's lineup at 223 (+10) and 225 (+12).
Tech had finished just one stroke behind OVC rival UT Martin, while Xavier claimed the team title at 838 (-14).
