Maxwell's 2nd Place Finish Leads Golden Eagles to Third at The Scrappy at Cobblestone

ACWORTH, Ga. – Haden Maxwell finished in the top two for the third straight tournament, with a second-place finish at The Scrappy at Cobblestone. The Golden Eagles finished third in Acworth, Ga.
Maxwell backed up his two straight wins with a second-place finish after shooting 74 during the third and final round today of The Scrappy at Cobblestone. Maxwell led the field after yesterday's action but managed just three birdies and an eagle during the final 18 holes. He finished even par with rounds of 71 (1st), 68 (2nd), and 74 (3rd) over the last 24 hours.
Alex Broyles finished 21st at 11 over with three birdies in the final 18 holes of action today. Spencer Stuke finished 27th at 12 over, managing just one birdie in the closing round. Stuke finished tied for first among individuals in pars made with 37.
Drew Bolton ended his event 38th at 14 over, and Nick Etherton made three birdies over the final 18 but finished 35th at 13 over through 54 holes.

The Golden Eagles finished with the second-best average on Par 4s, shooting 4.19 on those holes. Tech was one of five teams to record an eagle. The team finished with the fourth-most birdies made (38) and the fourth-most pars made (160).
Maxwell finished with the second-best average on Par 4s (4.07), and he led the field with 13 birdies made over 54 holes.
