Tech Men’s Golf Opens 2025 season with Golfweek Fall Challenge
Tennessee Tech men’s golf opens the 2025 season Sept. 7-9 at the Golfweek Program Challenge hosted by Golfweek at True Blue Golf Course in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – Tennessee Tech men's golf opens the 2025 season Sept. 7-9 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge hosted by Golfweek at True Blue Golf Course in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
"Very excited to kick off the 25-26 season with the Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue. It is an excellent event at an awesome golf course. We have done a lot of qualifying to solidify our traveling squad, and the guys are ready to get going." – Head Coach Polk Brown.
The fall season begins at the Golfweek Fall Challenge, under the leadership of 14-year Head Coach Polk Brown, who is assisted by six-year Assistant Coach Amanda Smith, leading the Tech men's golf program. Tech joins a 13-team field that includes Western Carolina, Ball State University, Loyola University, Presbyterian College, Mercer, Austin Peay, George Southern, North Alabama, South Carolina Upstate, East Texas A&M, Central Arkansas, and Nevada.

LINEUP:
The Golden Eagles feature two seniors (Nick Etherton, Haden Maxwell), three juniors (Owen Bright, Alex Broyles, and Matthew Shull), three sophomores (Drew Bolton, Spencer Stuke, Hil Thompson, and two freshman (Cooper Gettler, Bryson White).
Tech finished ninth in the Ohio Valley Conference Championships to close out the 2024-25 season, with Maxwell finishing tied for 23rd to pace the squad. Stuke finished tied for 30th, Shull (36th), Bolton (41st), and Thompson (61st) rounded out the competitors who return to the 2025-26 roster.
