Karlen reaches career milestone in loss to SEMO
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Jordan Karlen reached a career milestone on Friday as she reached 4,000 career assists during the match against Southeast Missouri, but the Tennessee Tech volleyball team saw a great start end in a four-set loss to the Redhawks. The Golden Eagles (5-11, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference) return to action next Friday as they host Tennessee State at the Hooper Eblen Center.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Jordan Karlen reached a career milestone on Friday as she reached 4,000 career assists during the match against Southeast Missouri, but the Tennessee Tech volleyball team saw a great start end in a four-set loss to the Redhawks.
The Golden Eagles (5-11, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference) return to action next Friday as they host Tennessee State at the Hooper Eblen Center.
Karlen reached the career milestone in the third set as she collected 48 assists to put herself at 4,016 as she continues to chase Tech Sports Hall of Famer Kappy Lang for the all-time record at 5,084. Karlen's day also included a double-double with a team-high 14 digs.
Bella Powell also had a double-double in the match with 18 kills and 10 digs. Powell hit .325 on the day on 40 swings.
MK Roberts and Ella Watford each had 13 digs, while Alayna Pierce and Audrey Berkebile each recorded 11 kills. Tuva Falk also had four service aces for the Golden Eagles.
SEMO (10-6, 3-1 OVC) posted 13 total blocks in the match as Alaina Lester had seven assisted blocks, Marin Johnson had three solo and one assisted, and Lucy Arndt and Kara Oxenknecht each had three assisted blocks.
Arndt, the reigning OVC Offensive Player of the Week, had 16 kills in the match, posting a .317 hitting percentage. Ellie Burns had 30 assists, while Nina Schuberth had 15 digs.
Tech won the first set 25-21, then the Redhawks took the second set 25-23, the third 25-21 and the fourth 25-20.
