Golden Eagles head to Green Bay to compete in Kendall's Battle
GREEN BAY, Wis. – With the final week of the tournament schedule ahead, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team is looking to close out the pre-conference slate with a high note as the Golden Eagles compete in the Kendall’s Battle at the Capital Credit Credit Union Classic. The name stems from Kendall Schara – a member of the Green Bay roster – who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia this past April.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – With the final week of the tournament schedule ahead, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team is looking to close out the pre-conference slate with a high note as the Golden Eagles compete in the Kendall's Battle at the Capital Credit Credit Union Classic.
The name stems from Kendall Schara – a member of the Green Bay roster – who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia this past April.
The Golden Eagles take on Northern Iowa on Thursday at 3 PM, face the host Green Bay on Friday at 6 PM, then close out the tournament with a Saturday morning meeting with Western Michigan at 11 AM.
Northern Iowa has started out the season with a 4-5 mark, going 1-2 last week at the Creighton Bluejay Invitational with a 3-0 win over Rice, a 3-1 loss to No. 4 Louisville and a 3-0 loss to No. 18 Creighton.
Lily Dykstra leads the team with 122 kills, followed by Cassidy Hartman with 117. Reese Booth has 173 assists and Kate Shafer 150, while Jadyn Peterson has 121 digs and Maryn Bixby 24 assisted blocks.
The Phoenix has started off the year with a 1-7 record, going 0-3 last week at the South Dakota Coyote Invitational. Host South Dakota and No. 17 Kansas both won in 3-0 sweeps, while Green Bay was able to swipe a set against Florida Gulf Coast in a 3-1 defeat.
Katie Schulz leads the team with 102 kills, followed by Diane Pichelman with 75. Emma Johnson has 234 assists on the year, while Emma Best has 89 digs and Olivia Neumann has 38 total blocks.
The Broncos enter the weekend with a 1-9 mark, falling in all three matches last week at the Loyola Marymount Invitational with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the host and sweeps from No. 16 USC and No. 19 BYU.
Molly Brown leads the team in points scored with 109, including 78 kills, 15 service aces and a team-best 29 blocks. Annalise Patchett has 96 kills, Mary Clare Brusek 85 and Keely Culler 84. Leah Richmond has a team-best 329 assists, while Elana Erickson has 161 digs.
Tech (2-7) went 0-3 last week with sweeps from Wichita State and Radford, but took Samford to the brink in a 3-2 match last Saturday. The Golden Eagles are trying to break a six-match losing streak before conference play begins next weekend at Western Illinois.
Bella Powell leads Tech with 110 kills, followed by Alayna Pierce with 51 and Audrey Berkebile and Tuva Falk with 47. Jordan Karlen has 291 total assists, while MK Roberts has 93 digs. Jordyn Milhouse has a team-best 20 blocks, followed by Falk (19) and Powell (16).
