Volleyball team gets 2008 underway in Cincinnati
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech volleyball team is in
Cincinnati this weekend to open the 208 season with three matches
in the UC Bearcat Invitational.
Head coach John Blair's team begins the year with a 4 p.m. match
(CDT) against Marshall University on Friday. Play continues
Saturday with a noon CDT match against Cincinnati, and wraps up
against Wright State at 3 p.m. CDT.
Seniors Kappy Lang and Caitlin Bullock have been selected as
co-captains for a team picked to finish second in the Ohio Valley
Conference race this season. The tournament at UC is the first of
three straight weekends of tournament action for the Golden Eagles,
who will play at Ball State next weekend (Sept. 5-6) and Western
Kentucky on Sept. 12-13.
Tech's first home match in Eben Center is Sept. 19 against OVC foe
Austin Peay.
