Golden Eagles visit Vanderbilt for early Saturday evening TV contest
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- An earlier-than-usual starting time awaits
the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle basketball team when it visits
Vanderbilt Saturday. The contest, which will be televised in the
Southeast on CSS, will tip off at 5 p.m. in Memorial Coliseum.
The Golden Eagles are 6-3 overall, and coming off a 69-59 loss at
Florida State on Tuesday night. Vanderbilt comes into the contest
with a 7-3 record, following a 71-52 win over South Florida in the
SEC/Big East Challange.
Vanderbilt holds a 12-6 lead in the all-time series with the Golden
Eagles, including a 75-62 win two years ago in Puerto Rico.
Following their game against the Commodores, the Golden Eagles get
a few days off for Christmas, and return to action on Monday, Dec.
29, with a game at Louisiana-Monroe. Tech's next home games are OVC
contests against Southeast Missouri (Saturday, Jan. 3) and Eastern
Illinois (Monday, Jan. 5).
In addition to being televised, the game can be heard on the Golden
Eagle Sports Network, with Roger Ealey calling the action. The
broadcast can also be heard on Free Teamline on the Internet and
the telephone.
