Based on performances during the indoor season, Tech's best
chances for scoring points at the meet rest in the efforts of Katie Lowery in the pole vault, Chelsea
Mills (in photo) in the long jump and triple jump, and Rebecca
Cline in the 3,000- and 5,000-meter races.
A senior from Andersonville, Tenn., Lowery broke her own school
record earlier this year in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 10
feet, 4 inches in a meet at Austin Peay three weeks ago.
Mills is a freshman from Chattanooga, and has narrowly missed the
school record in both the long jump and the triple jump this
season.
Cline is a junior distance runner from Spring Hill, Tenn., and
has enjoyed a breakout year this indoor season.
Two other Golden Eagles who could find success are senior Madison
Borden in the shot put and senior distance runner Beth
Miller.
Event results will be posted during the meet by Eastern Illinois
at the meet website (click here). Meet results will be posted at
the end of each day on TTUsports.com. Fans will also be able to
watch a live video webstream from the meet on the OVC Digital
Network.
