Tech visits Birmingham for Blazer Beach Bash Friday and Saturday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech beach volleyball team competes in its final non-conference action of the 2025 campaign this weekend, treking south to Birmingham, Ala. for UAB's Blazer Beach Bash on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Eagles kick off action Friday afternoon with a 2:00 p.m. CT affair with Southeastern Louisiana before clashing with host UAB in a 5:30 p.m. tilt. Saturday will feature another 2:00 p.m. match-up for the purple and gold, taking on Missouri State prior to a 5:30 p.m. non-conference meeting with in-state rival Chattanooga.
Tech head coach Bella Borgiotti will shake up the lineup a bit for the weekend, with redshirt sophomore Jordan Karlen and senior Bella Powell teaming up in the No. 1 slot for just the second time this season. The pair is 1-2 overall together this year, having also competed twice at the No. 2 position.
Pairing together for the first time are senior Brooke Amann and freshman Alayna Pierce, representing the purple and gold at the No. 2 spot. Senior Aleeya Jones and sophomore MK Roberts will tango together in the No. 3 position, tallying a 3-8 mark together this season, including wins in each of the past two duels.
Locked in at No. 4 for the Golden Eagles, seniors Jazmine Yamilkoski and McKenna Young will look to build off a solid showing together this season, posting a 2-3 mark as partners across the No. 4 and 5 positions. Rounding out the final spot in the lineup, senior Emma Pabon and sophomore Ava Schubert will team up for the third time this year in the No. 5 slot.
Serving as Tech's alternate pairing for the weekend are freshman Katie Green and senior Elena Wallace.
