Golden Eagles get topped by visiting Jacksonville State
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech Rifle team was coming off
a win over nationally ranked Akron, but the momentum was taken by
the visiting OVC foe Jacksonville State Gamecocks. It marked the
second time this season that JSU was able to come away with a win
over Tech.
After only a 20 point lead after smallbore, the Gamecocks were able
to expand the margin in air rifle and claim the 4,562 - 4,477
win.
"We can shoot better," said Head Coach Steve Law. "We will work on
somethings in practice and look forward to shooting against Murray
State and UT Martin this weekend."
The Golden Eagles host Murray State on Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. before
turning around the next morning and traveling to UT Martin for an 8
a.m. start time.
