Alumni reception planned for Thursday night at OVC Tournament
Alumni and fans who are in Nashville this week for the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament are invited to attend a special reception Thursday night following the men's game.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Alumni and fans who are in Nashville this week for the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament are invited to attend a special reception Thursday night following the men's game.
Hosted by Tennessee Tech Alumni Relations, the reception will be held at the Nashville City Club, 201 4th Ave. (corner of 4th Ave. and Church St.), in downtown Nashville. It will be a chance to socialize and network with Tennessee Tech alumni from the Nashville area as well as TTU administration. Enjoy a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine.

Also, please join us on March 3 and 4 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium to cheer for the Golden Eagles as they play in the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Tournament.
Tech women clinched the OVC Championship on Saturday night with a win over Jacksonville State. As the No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament, Tech has a bye on the first and second days, and will get its first taste of action Friday at 12 noon in the semifinals against an opponent to be determined in the earlier rounds -- either the fourth (Eastern Illinois), fifth (Austin Peay) or eighth (Murray State) seed.
As the tourney's No. 4 seed, the Tech men's team will play on Thursday at 6 p.m., facing the winner of Wednesday's game between the No. 5 (Tennessee State) and No. 8 (UT Martin) seeds. If you plan to attend the men's game, we invite you to stop by the Alumni After Hours Reception before or after the game.
Tickets for the tournament, both all-session tickets and individual session seats, are on sale online at ttusports.com, at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center or by calling (931) 372-3940. We'll also have tickets at the Alumni After Hours Reception for the women's game on Friday.
