Tech Tennis drops final home matches of season to EKU
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - It took almost six hours, but the Tennessee
Tech men's tennis team fell to Eastern Kentucky in a match that was
moved indoors at Fairfield Glade, 4-3.
The Tech women fell to the Colonels in the early match 6-0. Both
teams have one regular season match left on Saturday at Tennessee
State. Match time is slated for 10 a.m.
"We need to buckle down," said coach Dan Silverstein. "We lost some
really close matches today and we need to win those points."
Sophomore Dean O'Brien continued to roll this spring picking up a
win over Alex Das Izquierdo in three sets to remain undefeated in
the OVC this spring. O'Brien is 16-1 overall this spring and has
been ranked as high as No. 102.
