JaJuan Nicholls and Mekhi Cameron Named Players to Watch by the OVC
JaJuan Nicholls and Mekhi Cameron have been named Players to Watch by the OVC, as announced today by the Conference.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – JaJuan Nicholls and Mekhi Cameron have been named Players to Watch by the OVC, as announced today by the Conference.
JaJuan Nicholls appeared in 23 games with 15 starts, averaging 8.5 points per game during his sophomore season after transferring from Spartanburg Methodist College. Mekhi Cameron transferred from Northern Colorado, where he competed in 13 of UNC's 33 contests in 2023-24.
Cameron averaged 8.6 points per game, grabbed 21 rebounds, shot 18-55 from the field, made 17 of 21 free throws, and scored 61 total points over seven games played with the Golden Eagles last season. He grabbed a total of 21 rebounds, averaging 3.0 rebounds per game.
Nicholls appeared in 23 games with 15 starts, shooting 85-143 from the field (59.4%), 25-51 (49.0%), and totaled 195 points during the 2024-25 season. He averaged 18.4 points per 40 minutes played and 18.4 minutes per game. Nicholls grabbed 95 total rebounds with 35 offensive and 60 defensive boards.
The Golden Eagles were picked to finish seventh in the OVC preseason poll.
