Fuller’s Late Heroics Lift Tech Baseball to Second Straight Win
Tennessee Tech continued its momentum Tuesday afternoon, using a late-game surge to secure a 10-9 victory over North Alabama and extend its winning streak to two games.

FLORENCE, Ala. — Tennessee Tech continued its momentum Tuesday afternoon, using a late-game surge to secure a 10-9 victory over North Alabama and extend its winning streak to two games.
The Golden Eagles (9-12) jumped out early, plating six runs in the second inning to build a commanding lead. Owen Lee provided a major spark in the inning, launching a home run and finishing with four RBIs to pace the Tech offense. Tech has scored 26 runs in the last two games, and with Cade Fuller's game-winning home run, it marked the first homer of that type this season.
GOLDEN BATS
- Cade Fuller (1-2, 2R, 3 RBI) hit his 2nd HR of the season, a two-run shot with two outs in the top of the 9th to put the Golden Eagles in front 10-9.
- Owen Lee hit his first grand slam of the season, matching a season-high four RBI.
- The Golden Eagles scored 10 runs on seven hits, marking two straight games with double-digit runs.
- Tech has scored double-digit runs in three of the last four games.
EAGLES' WINGS
- Lawson Stricklin tossed 2.0 IP with two strikeouts.
- Alex Kuntz (W, 1-0) earned his first win of the season and his Golden Eagle career.
- Kuntz delivered a 1.0 scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
- Ty Barnett (S, 1) grabbed his first save of the season, and his Golden Eagle career, with a 1,2,3 bottom of the 9th.
North Alabama (8-13) responded with a nine-run push across the fourth and fifth innings, erasing the deficit and setting up a dramatic finish. But Tennessee Tech answered when it mattered most.
With two outs in the top of the ninth, Cade Fuller delivered the decisive blow — a two-run home run that lifted the Golden Eagles back in front for good. Fuller finished with three RBIs, two runs scored, and added two stolen bases in a standout all-around performance.

Tech's offense capitalized on patience at the plate, drawing seven walks and producing timely hitting throughout. Connor Crowson added a pair of hits and an RBI, while Nash Crowell chipped in with a double and two runs scored.
On the mound, Alex Kuntz earned the win with a scoreless eighth inning, striking out two in a key relief appearance. Ty Barnett closed the door in the ninth to secure his first save of the season.
Despite surrendering 10 hits, the Golden Eagles' pitching staff limited further damage late, holding North Alabama scoreless over the final four innings to preserve the comeback victory.
