Tennessee Tech faces No. 19 Tennessee in Knoxville Tuesday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech baseball travels to Knoxville to face the No. 19 Tennessee Volunteers at Lindsey Nelson Stadium on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles look to bounce back from a three-game series loss (1-2) at Georgia Southern over the weekend with a Tuesday evening matchup against No. 19 Tennessee. Tech enters the game 7-8 overall on the season, including 1-6 on the road, and Tennessee sits at 12-4 overall this year.
After the road game against the No. 19 team in the country, the Golden Eagles return home to host Belmont on Wednesday, Mar. 11, at 4 p.m. CT.
The Golden Eagles have dropped three of their last four games, including two-of-three at Georgia Southern over the weekend. Tech is 3-7 in the last 10 games. Tech leads the OVC in fielding percentage with just seven errors in 515 total chances (98.6%).
This is the 108th matchup in series history (32-74-1), dating back to 1942. (Per UTSports.com).
LAST GAME
Most recently, Tennessee Tech rallied late but could not overcome an early deficit Sunday afternoon, falling 11-6 to Georgia Southern in the rubber match of a three-game series at J.I. Clements Stadium. With the loss, the Golden Eagles dropped the series 2-1 and moved to 7-8 on the season, while Georgia Southern improved to 4-11.
