Tech baseball team to host in-state rival Lipscomb Tuesday afternoon
One more game in Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex remains for the Tennessee Tech baseball team before it heads out on its first real road trip of the season. The Golden Eagles will play host to in-state rival Lipscomb Tuesday afternoon, squaring off with the Bisons in a 3 p.m. CT match-up.

Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview (3/7)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – One more game in Bush Stadium at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex remains for the Tennessee Tech baseball team before it heads out on its first real road trip of the season. The Golden Eagles will play host to in-state rival Lipscomb Tuesday afternoon, squaring off with the Bisons in a 3 p.m. CT match-up.
Tech (5-5) enter play after going 1-2 last week in a three-game series against Miami (Ohio). The Golden Eagles claimed a 10-6 victory Sunday afternoon in the series finale, striking for eight runs through the first three innings. Lipscomb (9-3) comes to Cookeville after sweeping Alabama A&M at home in a three-game set. The Bisons have won seven of their past eight contests, with the lone blemish a 6-0 loss at Western Kentucky last Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles will hit the road to open Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend, visiting Morehead State for a three-game series starting Friday.
