COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Weather permitting, the Tennessee Tech baseball team will head down I-40 for its annual visit to Nashville to take on perennial power and two-time College World Series Final participant, No. 2 Vanderbilt for a 3 p.m. tilt Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles went 1-3 over the past week, dropping a tough series to Bucknell over the weekend with two, one-run losses in the final two games of the series. Tech snagged a victory on Friday in the series opener, rebounding from a loss at Central Arkansas.
The No. 2 ranked Commodores enter the contest a perfect 8-0 on the season, coming off a three-game sweep of Illinois-Chicago over the weekend after defeating Tech's Ohio Valley Conference rivals UT Martin and Eastern Illinois in midweek action.
