BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech setter Jordan Karlen added yet another accolade to her ever-growing list of accomplishments in the purple and gold Monday afternoon, as the Ohio Valley Conference announced its weekly volleyball honors.
The junior was selected as OVC Setter of the Week for the fourth time this season and the 10th time in her career, sharing the honor with Lindenwood's Allie Otten, after averaging an eye-popping 13.00 assists per set against Little Rock over the weekend. In the team's two tilts with the Trojans, Karlen also averaged nearly a kill per set, 4.38 digs per set, and 0.50 blocks per set.
In Friday's affair, the Janesville, Wis. native amassed 50 helpers with five kills and a career-high 23 digs for her 11th double-double of the year. Karlen followed it up with 54 assists, two kills, an ace, 12 digs, and four blocks on Saturday, notching her 12th double-double.
Karlen ranks first in program history with her 10 OVC Setter of the Week honors, sporting four more than any other Golden Eagle. She also boasts 13 total weekly awards from the league in her career, having earned a trio of Freshman of the Week nods on her way to OVC Freshman of the Year in 2022. Those 13 honors also represent the most by a Golden Eagle for a career.
Tech makes its way to Cape Girardeau, Mo. for a pair of OVC tests against Southeast Missouri. The Golden Eagles open the weekend with a 6:00 p.m. CT tilt on Friday, Nov. 1 before wrapping things up with a 2:00 p.m. affair on Saturday, Nov. 2.
