Golden Eagles to face no. 8 UT Martin in the OVC quarterfinal round
Having garnered the four-spot in the eight-team OVC Tournament field, the Golden Eagles will face off against either no. 5 seed Tennessee State or no. 8 UT Martin in the quarterfinal round on Thursday evening at 6 p.m.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Having garnered the four-spot in the eight-team OVC Tournament field, the Golden Eagles will face off against no. 8 UT Martin in the quarterfinal round on Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
The Skyhawks upset the no. 5 Tennessee State Tigers, 68-64, in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday evening to advance to the quarterfinal round to face the Golden Eagles.
Techhung two losses on the Skyhawks of Martin earlier on in the year, defeating UTM in triple overtime at home, 109-105 to notch the 1,000th program win, and again on the road on February 12, 85-71 in regulation.
