Charlie is the most experienced of the three players in the mix
at fullback...played at the position in 2008 and was used primarily
as a blocker, but proved during '09 Spring drills that he can be a
threat as a receiver...has worked extremely hard in the weight room
and has seen good development in his size and his strength...a
walk-on with a great attitude...potential to also see playing time
on special teams...on the field in short yardage situations...a
role player with good physical skills and lots of hustle...a
prototype blocking back...good team player and very unselfish.
AT TECH (In 2008): Charlie played in a limited
role at fullback in his first season on the field...caught one pass
for six yards.
(In 2007): Was a redshirt on the 2007 squad in his
first season with the Golden Eagles.
HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman in both
football and wrestling at David Lipscomb High School...played a
variety of positions on the gridiron for coach Glenn MacAdams,
including strong safety and defensive end, runningback and tight
end...wrestled at five different weights, ranging from 145 to
heavyweight...named all-region as a junior and senior in
football...helped the team post a combined 52-7 four-year record,
finishing as region champs all four years and state runnerup three
times.

Stevens...birthdate is August 1, 1987...plans to study
biochemistry.
