Following a redshirt season for his introduction to the college game, Ryan has continued to show great development in the weight room during his two years on the roster...has worked his way into better shape and has a good future in Tech's offensive line...listed second at right guard, and will be in the mix of the three-man rotation expected to see bulk of the playing time at the guard positions...could prove to be a swing guard, lining up on either side of the center...a two-way player in high school, he will stay in the offensive trenches for the Golden Eagles.

AT TECH (In 2008): Ryan continued his development in his second year on the roster, but did not see any playing time. (In 2007): Ryan was a redshirt in 2007.

HIGH SCHOOL: Ryan was a three-year starter for coach Derek Davis on the football team at Polk County High School...played in the trenches on both sides of scrimmage, lining up as an offensive and defensive tackle...twice named both all-area and all-region, he capped his career with 2006 all-state laurels.

PERSONAL: The son of Larri and Ermeleen St. John...born August 22, 1989...enrolled in general curriculum.
