Scott should be a four-year starter and has a chance to be an
all-conference caliber performer...a medical redshirt during the
2007 season, he stepped forward last year to become a full-time
starter...returns to the starting spot at right tackle in his
sophomore campaign...has the potential to make a major impact
during the next three years...excellent attitude...good size and
mobility for the position...has lost some weight and improved his
footwork...shoulder injury slowed him during the first two years,
but surgery appears to have him fully healthy.
At Tech (In 2008): Scott became a full-time
starter for the Golden Eagles in his first year of action, stepping
into the slot at right tackle. (In 2007): Spent the season as a
medical redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Scott was a four-year letterman and
three-year starter at Centennial High School in Alpharetta, Ga.,
earning several team awards while anchoring the offensive
line....the 6-foot-5, 285-pound team captain was an all-county
pick.
PERSONAL: The son of Chris and Kim
Schweitzer...born July 26, 1988 in Birmingham, Alabama...full name
is Scott Andrew Schweitzer...enrolled in general curriculum.
