A two-way starter for three seasons at Auburndale (Fla.) High School as a tight end and defensive end, Cory enrolled at Tech in January after transferring from UAB...participated in the spring drills...one of the primary reasons that the tight end position could become a bigger piece of the offense for the Golden Eagles in 2009...excellent hands and can be a dangerous receiver...working hard in the weight room to improve his strength...also working to become a better blocker...redshirt at UAB in 2007 and was on the 2008 Blazer roster before coming to Tech where he will be a sophomore...rated a two-star prospect out of high school by Rivals.com, Cory was named third-team Class 4-A All-State as a senior at Auburndale...also chosen first-team all-district by the Lakeland Ledger, and first-team all-county.
