Bio
Cory was a two-year varsity starter for Woodside High School in
Woodside, California...as a junior he was chosen the team's Most
Valuable Defensive Back when he had 64 solo tackles, 48 assists,
three fumble recoveries, three interceptions and 12 passes
defended...named to the all-county defensive team...also spent some
time as the backup QB and running back...as senior, he was named
team captain, was the starting quarterback on a CCS semi-finalist
team....threw for more than 1,000 yards with 12 touchdowns and
rushed for nine touchdowns,...was the team's second-leading rusher
with 823 yards...named San Mateo County athlete of the week, Most
Valuable offensive player for the team as well as all-league and
all-Daily News...also a three-year starting point guard on the
varsity basketball team where he was a team captain and named to
all-league teams both his junior and senior years.
PERSONAL: The son of Joe and Sue McDonald, both athletic directors
and coaches..Cory’s major is Exercise Science, Physical
Education and Wellness.
