As a senior at Cincinnati's Wyoming High School, DeShawn had 36
solo tackles and intercepted three passes, returning two for
touchdowns...voted the team’s Best Defensive Back as a junior
and senior, he was a first-team all-conference pick as a
senior...three-year letterman in football, he was voted second-team
All-Southwesst Ohio as a senior after earning honorable mention as
a junior...voted the Most Improved Underclassman in 2007, he was a
two-year CHL Academic Patch recipient...during his junior year, he
was picked the Tri-Cities “Beast of the Week” two
consecutive weeks...played defensive back, slotback, runningback,
and returned kicks and punts...also lettered in basketball and
track & field.
