An extremely versatile athlete, Brandon makes another position switch in 2009, this time crossing the line of scrimmage from defensive line to tight end...started his Golden Eagle career as an outside linebacker before moving to the defensive line...saw limited action in 2008 on defense, then made the move to tight end during spring drills...will provide valuable depth at the position in 2009...good size and a tremendous athlete...showed improvement daily during spring drills...did a good job learning his new assignments...great stamina and strength, plus speed and agility...despite off-season shoulder surgery following his first season, Brandon remains powerful in the weight room.

At TECH - (In 2008): Brandon saw action in seven games, making eight total tackles including six solo stops...had one tackle-for-loss...had four solo tackles at Western Michigan for his season-best. (In 2007): Brandon returned to action as a redshirt freshman and earned playing time in nine contests...posted 11 total tackles including 4.5 tackles-for-loss for 15 yards...worked in a reserve role at defensive end...career-high five tackles, all solo stops, at Jacksonville State. (In 2006): Played early in the year, then received a redshirt season.

High School: One of the most versatile athletes signed by the Golden Eagle coaching staff in 2006, Brandon was a three-sport standout at Springville High School...lettered three years for football coach Keith Maple, and also received three letters each in track & field (discus, 400m) and basketball...twice named first-team all-county, he was also an honorable mention all-state choice as a senior...he led the team in quarterbacks sacks in both his sophomore and senior seasons...finished his career with 13 sacks and 120 total tackles, caused four fumbles and recovered two...also had 14 catches for 167 yards as a tight end...in his senior season, he had 6.5 sacks and 64 total tackles...nine TFL and broke up four passes.
