Golden Eagle women's golf team begins 2021-22 campaign at Golfweek Fall Challenge
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team kicks off its 2021-22 campaign with its first fall action since 2019 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawley’s Island, S.C. Hosted by Golfweek, the event is set to run Sunday through Tuesday at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's golf team kicks off its 2021-22 campaign with its first fall action since 2019 at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawley's Island, S.C. Hosted by Golfweek, the event is set to run Sunday through Tuesday at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club.
GOLFWEEK FALL CHALLENGE: Sept. 12-14, 2021 – 54 holes (18 Sunday, 18 Monday, 18 Tuesday), located at the par-72, 6,143-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, S.C. Play will begin Sunday holes of action. Tech will compete in one more round each on Monday and Tuesday to conclude the event.
GOLDEN EAGLE LINEUP: Competing for the Golden Eagles are junior Heidi Lawson, returning freshman Ainsley Simms, sophomore Makenzie Morton, senior Hannah Bratton, senior Isabel York, and sophomore Gittle Sciolis.
THE COMPETITION: The 20-team field consists of App State, Bowling Green, Campbell, Central Arkansas, Delaware, East Carolina, Elon, Gardner-Webb, UIC, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, Morehead State, Presbyterian, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson, Tennessee Tech, UNCG, USC Upstate, Winthrop, and Wofford.
THOUGHTS FROM HEAD COACH AMANDA SMITH: "This team has already shown progress within these first couple weeks of classes starting. We have a strong group this year, not only on the course, but as a collective unit. They are excited to gain some growth with a big field and beautiful course like Caledonia."
