COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Tech women's basketball signee Mariah Dean was profiled recently on an Atlanta television station, which looked at how she inspires her teammates through her courage and faith. The piece was reported by Sam Crenshaw, 11Alive sports anchor.
A victim of a vicious dog attack at the age of 11, Dean nearly
lost her right leg and was told she may never walk again. After
surgeries, skin grafts and rehabilitation, she made her way back to
the basketball court. Now a senior for Mays High School, Crenshaw's
segment says that Dean's "example of courage and faith is a true
inspiration."
