Entering his second year on the roster, Cory comes off a redshirt season with hopes of seeing playing time and contributing to the deep Golden Eagle receiving corps...great hands...runs solid routes...an effective blocker who does all the little things needed to be successful.

AT TECH (In 2009): Cory was a redshirt member of the Tech roster in his first season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Cory was a two-year varsity starter for Woodside High School in Woodside, California...as a junior he was chosen the team's Most Valuable Defensive Back when he had 64 solo tackles, 48 assists, three fumble recoveries, three interceptions and 12 passes defended...named to the all-county defensive team...also spent some time as the backup QB and running back...as senior, he was named team captain, was the starting quarterback on a CCS semi-finalist team....threw for more than 1,000 yards with 12 touchdowns and rushed for nine touchdowns,...was the team's second-leading rusher with 823 yards...named San Mateo County athlete of the week, Most Valuable offensive player for the team as well as all-league and all-Daily News...also a three-year starting point guard on the varsity basketball team where he was a team captain and named to all-league teams both his junior and senior years.

PERSONAL: The son of Joe and Sue McDonald, both athletic directors and coaches...full name is Cory James McDonald...birthdate is August 9, 1990...majoring in Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness.
