HIGH SCHOOL: Tyler played his prep football for the Upperman Bees and joined the Golden Eagles as a walk-on...named to the all-region team as both a junior and senior, he also garnered all-state honors as a senior for coach Sam Brooks, a former Golden Eagle wide receiver...played his first two seasons under coach Phillip Wright...as a senior he notched 72 total tackles, including 23 tackles-for loss and 13 quarterback sacks.

PERSONAL: The son of Steve and Donna York of Cookeville...birthdate is January 23, 1989...will study a pre-physical therapy curriculum.
