A versatile athlete during his high school career, Ramsey is listed as an "athlete" on the Golden Eagle roster...can play several spots...his size and quickness fits in well as an outside linebacker...three-year starter for coach Craig Clayton at Franklin High School, helping the Rebels to the TSSAA state playoffs all three years...team was state runnerup in his senior season...starter at quarterback as a sophomore, he also played safety, tight end, tailback and linebacker...honorable mention all-state...also lettered twice on track & field team in 400m and hurdles.
