Joshua has the potential to see loads of action as a sophomore...on the depth chart at free safety...began to really shine during Spring drills...a good inside tackler, he’s working hard to improve his open-field tackling skills...still learning the system and the position...has the chance to come out of the summer as a key contributor.

AT TECH — (In 2008): Joshua saw action in five games as a true freshman in a backup role at linebacker...had one solo tackle against Jacksonville State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time all-region selection at Giles County High School, Perez was also named the Region Defensive Back of the Year both seasons...a four-year letterman, he was twice selected team captain ...selected as a 2007 preseason All-State and also preseason Army All-Academic team....two-time regional weightlifting champion...also lettered four years on the baseball team at Giles County...named all-region in baseball....twice voted team captain of the baseball team.
