A local standout who’s staying close to home, Taylor was named first-team All-Region 3-5A as a senior after spending the year serving as team captain for the Cookeville High School Cavaliers...an Old Spice Leadership Award Nominee, he was a four-year letterman and three-year starter...last season he chalked up 72 total tackles, forced six fumbles and recovered five fumbles...as a defensive back, he also made five interceptions...for his career he played six different positions, including quarterback, passing for more than 2,200 yards and 35 touchdowns...an extremely versatile athlete, he was also the team long snapper all four seasons...lettered in track & field twice for coach Bill Wrasman, and basketball three years under coach Kevin Bray.
