Demetrous enrolled at Tech in January after transferring from the U.S. Naval Academy where he was in the Prep School and started all nine games...participated in spring drills for the Golden Eagles...left Spring as the starting “W” inside receiver...fantastic hands and really quick feet...good blocker...expected to return punts and kickoffs... named Class 4-A first-team all-state as a junior at Hillsboro High School, and earned first-team all-Mid-State, first-team all-region and first-team all-Metro as a junior and senior...voted team captain as a senior...Tennessee High School Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete Scholarship recipient...as a junior he won the Coaches Award while making 44 catches for 819 yards and nine touchdowns...as a senior he grabbed 32 passes for 532 yards and seven touchdowns...on the defensive side, he had four interceptions in each of his final two high school seasons.
