2017 (Junior): Moths made 19 appearances out of the bullpen, turning into of Tech’s most effective relievers… finished the year with a 3.88 ERA over 48.2 innings… tallied 69 strikeouts to rank third on the team in the category… compiled a 5-1 record with two saves while allowing just 21 earned runs, 51 hits, and 15 walks… notched a season-high eight strikeouts while tossing a season-high five innings of relief to earn the victory over Southeast Missouri (May 25) in Tech’s first game of the OVC Tournament… allowed just one earned run in the contest without issuing a walk… earned his first save of the season with two innings of work against SIUE (Mar. 18)… notched his second save in relief against Murray State (Apr. 15)… took over on the hill for the final three innings against #15 Florida State (June 2) in Tech’s upset win in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, earning his fifth victory of the year while striking out four and not allowing a base runner… also shut down #15 Florida State (June 4) for 1.2 innings in an elimination game in the NCAA Regional, allowing just a single hit… over the final 9.2 innings of the season (May 25 – June 4), all in postseason play, did not allow a walk while striking out 14 batters… tossed three or more innings six times on the year… held opponent s scoreless in eight games out of the pen and did not issue a walk in nine contests… struck out four or more batters 11 times throughout the season.

2015 (Freshman): Moths made eight starts and 19 total appearances in his first year as a Golden Eagle… compiled a 5-4 record and 5.69 ERA… tossed 55.1 innings, allowing 64 hits, 35 earned runs and 25 walks while striking out 62 and picking up one save… finished second on the team with 62 strikeouts and five victories… held opponents to a .294 batting average… made eight starts in his first eight appearances before moving to the bullpen… posted a 2.88 ERA and 4-1 mark in 11 relief spots… threw 25.0 innings in relief, striking out 31 batters while walking just 12 and giving up only eight earned runs… held opponents to a .230 average in his relief role… ranked second in the OVC and in the top-50 nationally in strikeouts per nine innings with a mark of 10.08… tallied season-highs with 6.0 innings pitched and 11 strikeouts while earning his first career victory at UT Martin (Mar. 16)… struck out nine batters in 5.1 innings of shutout ball at Southeast Missouri (May 2), picking up his fourth win… tossed 2.2 innings to gather his third victory and Tech’s upset win over #5 Arizona State (Apr. 25)… also took victories at Jacksonville State (Apr. 10) and against Belmont (May 10)… earned his lone save of the season at Eastern Kentucky (May 16), working 3.0 innings of shutout ball with three strikeouts… fanned four or more batters six times… held opponents scoreless in six appearances… tossed three or more innings in each of his last four appearances… named to the OVC All-Freshman Team.
