Cheerleading, dance team preparing for 2012-13 season

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech cheerleading and Golden Girls dance team gathered recently for their annual group photos on Overall Field. After attending camp this week, the squads will be returning to campus in preparation for the 2012 football opener.

Tech gets the football season underway on Thursday, Aug. 30, with a visit from the Hampton University Priates, a strong FCS opponent from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. It's the first of back-to-back Thursday night games in Tucker Stadium.

Tech's cheer and dance teams are under the direction of coach Robin Burroughs.

Season tickets for 2012 Golden Eagle football are currently on sale, either online or through the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center. To purchase tickets, fans can either visit the ticket office weekdays (during regular business hours) or call 931-372-3940.
