November 14, 2010- The volleyball team had a very exciting this weekend! With their win over Eastern Illinois on Friday the Golden Eagles earned a spot in the OVC tournament where they will compete for an OVC Championship! With the end of our regular season the team honored our four seniors with a banquet on Saturday night. We are very lucky to have such supportive family and friends. Thank you to all our fans who came out and supported us this season. We are looking forward to an exciting weekend volleyball at the OVC Championship!

November 8, 2010- Golden Eagle Volleyball goes 2-0 on the weekend!! After 2 great matches the girls were able to work together and pull out some great wins! We have our last two regualr season matches this weekend and we would appreciate a lot of support on Saturday for Senior Night! Go Golden Eagles!

November 3, 2010- The team went to Jacksonville State on Tuesday and left with a win!! Last night's late bus ride home was made much better with a victory! October 27, 2010- This week's blog brought to you by #10 Madison Comperry: We are looking forward to an exciting weekend on the road as we take on TSU and APSU. As the team is starting to take on our OVC opponents for the second time, we are looking to come back strong and take some wins back to Cookeville. Thank you for all the support at home and we will be looking for you to fill the Hoop next weekend when we take on Murray St. and UT Martin next weekend.

October 19, 2010- It has been an exciting and hectic couple weeks for the volleyball team since I last wrote! The girls are in the race for the OVC Conference Tournament and the season is going great. The team has overcome obstacles and challenges to get to where they are halfway through the season. We appreciate all the fans that come out and support us!! Special congrats to Leah Meffert who was named OVC Offensive Player of the week for the 2^nd time this year and to Kelsey Gray who was named OVC Defensive Player of the week!

September 15, 2010- After a great week of practice the Golden Eagles are ready to begin conference play! The girls are very excited to head to Eastern Kentucky tomorrow. September 13, 2010- The team faced some tough competition this weekend in the Western Kentucky Invitational. We went 0-3 but gained a lot of experience. The girls improved drastically over the course of the tournament and we are looking forward to start conference play this weekend!

September 8, 2010- After finishing up 1-3 in the Samford Invitational the girls got a much needed day off on Sunday to rest up after their long weekend. The team got right back in the gym on Monday to work on improving in some areas so that we will be ready for this weekend. The Golden Eagle Volleyball team leaves tomorrow to play in the Western Kentucky Invitational. You can follow the games and watch live stats at www.wkusports.com.  

September 3, 2010- After a good night sleep in Birmingham the team was rested up to play in the Samford Invitational today. They played really well the first set against Syracuse but they weren’t able to hold them off the next 3 sets. I was really proud of how hard they fought throughout the match, they never gave up! After the loss the girls discussed learning from their mistakes and their communication paid off in their next match against Northwestern State. The girls dominated the Demons and claimed their second win of the season!!

September 1, 2010 - Hey Tech, the volleyball team is still so excited today about their 3-1 win over Belmont last night! Thanks so much for coming out to support us. We're headed to Samford this weekend for our second straight weekend of tournament play, can't wait!
