2022 (Junior): Boom competed in all 31 of the team’s matches, playing in 116 of 118 sets overall… led Tech and finished third in the OVC with 20 solo blocks… ranked second on the team and ninth in the OVC with 108 total blocks and 88 block assists… ended the year second on the team and 11th in the conference with 0.93 blocks per set… concluded the season fourth on the team with 228 kills, 1.97 kills per set, 292.0 points, and 2.52 points per set… ranked third on the team with an attack percentage of .254… fired a season-high 15 kills three times, including back-to-back matches against Bradley (Sept. 10) and at Ohio (Sept. 10)… named MVP of the Bobcat Invitational (Sept. 9-10) after the performance, including a season-high 17.0 points at Ohio (Sept. 10)… also recorded 15 kills at Southeast Missouri (Oct. 22) while hitting .444… piled up a season-high 10 total rejections, all block assists, at Eastern Illinois (Nov. 4) to mark the third most block assists in a four-set match in the rally-scoring era… hit an astounding .588 with 10 kills against SIUE (Oct. 14)… also hit .545 with 12 terminations in the second match against the Cougars (Oct. 15)… tallied double-digit kills seven times… turned in at least one block in 26 of 31 matches… recorded five or more blocks seven times and recorded multiple rejections in each of the final 13 matches of the year… finished the season ranked tied for sixth in program history with a career blocks per set rate of 0.88.
2021 (Sophomore*): Boom played in 29 of Tech’s 30 matches, appearing in 102 of 114 total sets… ranked third on the team with 92 total blocks, 82 block assists, and 10 solo blocks… finished fifth on the squad with 201 kills, 1.97 kills per set, 252.0 points, and 2.47 points per set… erupted for a career-high 24 kills and 25.5 points with a ridiculous .625 hitting percentage at Belmont (Nov. 13)… followed it up with an insane .722 attack percentage and 13 kills in three set versus Austin Peay (Nov. 18) in the OVC Tournament… tied the program’s four-set match records for both rally and pre-rally-scoring eras with 11 block assists and 12 total blocks at Morehead State (Oct. 27)… also paired with Taylor Dorsey to become the first Tech teammates with 10 or more total blocks in the same match since 2001 at Morehead… accounted for double-digit kills five times, including each of the final three matches of the season… accounted for at least one block in 27 of the 29 matches she played… recorded five or more blocks eight times.
2020-21 (Sophomore): Boom appeared in all 16 of the team’s matches, competing in all 61 sets overall… led Tech and the OVC with 17 solo blocks… ranked second on squad and fifth in the league with 60 total blocks… paced the Golden Eagles and finished sixth in the conference with 0.98 blocks per set… was second on the purple and gold with 144 kills, 2.36 kills per set, a .229 hitting percentage, 43 block assists, and 182.5 points… rocked a career-high 14 kills on a .313 hitting percentage with three total blocks at Tennessee State (Mar. 14)… tallied a career-best four solo blocks at Austin Peay (Feb. 8)… registered a career-high six total blocks four different times, including back-to-back matches at Murray State (Mar. 21 & Mar. 22)… posted a career-best 17.0 points on 13 kills and six total blocks on the road against the Racers (Mar. 21)… totaled five or more total blocks in eight matches, including three of the final four on the year… recorded multiple solo blocks four times… notched double-digit kills eight times, including six of the final eight matches of the season… posted double figures in kills in each of the final four matches on the year… recorded at least one block in 14 of the team’s 16 matches.
2019 (Freshman): Boom competed in 12 of Tech’s 30 matches, playing in 27 of 112 sets overall… totaled 30 kills, eight total blocks, six block assists, two solo blocks, and 35.0 points… made her collegiate debut with one dig at No. 24 Louisville (Sept. 6)… fired off a season-high 11 kills with a block assist versus Southeast Missouri (Nov. 21) in the OVC Tournament… racked up a season-best five block assists with four kills against Belmont (Nov. 16).
High School: Boom lettered as a middle blocker for head coach Laura Bowling at Eastern High School in Louisville, Ky.… racked up 381 kills, 136 total blocks, 96 solo blocks, and 22 service aces as a senior… named to the All-State Second Team as a senior and was All-State Honorable Mention as a junior… earned the team’s Eastern Eagle Award and was a three-time, Team Offensive MVP.
