Game Notes
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team continues its busy week as it heads to the Chattanooga Christmas Classic on the campus of Chattanooga. Tech will play North Carolina A&T and Morgan State.
Tech is looking to bounce back from a 72-53 loss of instate foe Lipscomb on Thursday night. The Lady Bisons' 3-point shooting again was the difference maker in the game. Five different Lipscomb players hit a shot from beyond the arch, including Chandler Cooper, who connected on a team-high four threes. In the second half, the Lady Bison hit seven-of-12 from deep, and finished the game shooting 48-percent from three.
Tech was able to stay within reach behind sophomore Catherine Taylor's efforts. Taylor hit two threes of her own in the second half, and finished with 13 points, tying a career-high she had set earlier this season. Candace Parson finished the game with 17 points, adding eight boards and two blocked shots.
This is just the second time Tech has competed in a Tournament at UTC, the last time coming in the 1987-88 season. That year Tech opened with a game versus UNC Charlotte, winning 60-56, before falling to the host Lady Mocs, 82-65.
