Spring 2023 (Freshman): Larson competed in all four of Tech’s spring tournaments, completing 12 rounds of action… also competed in Tech’s lone match-play event of the year, the Carpenter-Chaney Classic (Feb. 10-11)… finished 3-0 in the match-play event, winning 3&2 over Eastern Illinois, 2&1 over Bellarmine, and 2&1 against UT Martin… opened the spring with a 70-71-77=218 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 12-14), tying for ninth for his best finish of the year… fired a 65 in the third round of the Big Blue Intercollegiate (Apr. 10-11), setting the program’s freshman scoring mark and tying for the fifth-lowest round in program history… also carded a season-low 213 for the event, finishing at even-par… delivered a 232 overall at the OVC Championships (Apr. 23-25)… collected the team’s Bobby Nichols Award for Leadership… ended the spring with a scoring average of 74.42.
Fall 2022 (Freshman): Larson took part in four of the team’s five fall events, finishing 12 rounds of play… made his collegiate debut at The Grover Page Classic (Sept. 19-20), recording a 70-72-75=217 for a top-20 finish and best score of the fall… dropped back-to-back rounds under 70 with a 69 and 68 to close out the Xavier Invitational (Oct. 10-11) with a 221 and top-25 finish… concluded the fall with a 74.42 scoring average.
High School: Larson was a three-sport athlete at Pine Island High School in Pine Island, Minn., collecting three letters in basketball as a guard for head coach Jim McNamara, two letters in golf under head coach Mark Moran, and one letter in baseball for head coach Don Drozen… played baseball as a freshman before transitioning to golf, but lost his sophomore season due to the COVID-19 pandemic… delivered a 72.2 scoring average as a junior, collecting individual medalist honors at the conference championships… as a junior, turned in a runner-up showing in the section championships before advancing to the MSHSL 2A State tournament and placing ninth overall while leading Pine Island/Zumbrota-Mazeppa to a fifth-place showing… earned All-Conference First Team, All-Section First Team, and All-State Second Team accolades as a junior… as a senior, placed third individually in the MSHSL 2A State championship while leading PIZM to its first-ever state title… also led his program to it second straight conference and section titles… picked up All-Conference First Team, All-Section First Team, and All-State First Team honors as a senior… named team MVP twice.
Personal: Son of Kristina and Jarvis Larson… born April 27, 2004… full name is Anders Arthur Larson… was a three-time qualifier for the Minnesota State Amateur Championships, highlighted by medalist honors in the summer of 2021 with a bogey-free, 3-under 68 in the final round at The Bridges Golf Course.
Academic: Majoring in business management with a concentration in production and operations management… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice and the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll once.
