Fall 2021 (R-Freshman): Bassel competed in one of Tech’s four events in the fall, completing three rounds of play… made his collegiate debut at the Battle at Black Creek (Oct. 25-26)… shot a 245 in the tournament, delivering a season-best round of 77… rounded out the fall with a scoring average of 81.67.
Spring 2021 (Freshman): Bassel sat out the 2021 spring campaign as a redshirt.
Fall 2020 (Freshman): The 2020 fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: Bassel was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Eric Geldolf at Lexington Christian Academy in Lexington, Ky.… captured regional individual medalist honors as a senior… as a sophomore, helped lead his team to a state title… racked up a scoring average of 72.2 during his senior campaign… as a junior, compiled a 73.6 scoring average while placing in the top-10 of the AJOA… also placed third at the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier.
