BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- The Ohio Valley Conference has announced the
launch of production of "Ohio Valley Conference Football 2009" a
full-color, limited edition football magazine that previews the
2009 football season. The venture with SportsUnlimited will be
available in late August but is now available for pre-order.
Detailed feature articles on all nine OVC teams will be included in
the publication.
The nine Ohio Valley Conference schools that participate in the
Football Championship Subdivision may be overlooked in the national
media, but not by their fans and alumni who thirst for information
about their favorite team. The OVC’s football roots date back
to 1948 and during the past 61 seasons, 14 teams have won or shared
the league’s title. The list is led by Eastern Kentucky,
winner of 20 outright or shared football titles, including the last
two.
For the first time, OVC football will be featured in a full-color
magazine dedicated to its nine schools and suitable for display on
your coffee table year round. Click here to order your copy or
copies today by logging onto www.collegesportsmags.com .
“The OVC is very excited to partner with SportsUnlimited to
produce the Ohio Valley Conference Football Publication,”
said Kyle Schwartz, OVC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations.
“College football fans are among the most passionate in
sports and they have a hunger for information about their favorite
teams. This is a great way to satisfy that appetite for information
as well as brand our Conference both regionally and
nationally.”
The cost of the publication is $4.99 plus tax and shipping.
OVC Basketball 2009-10 is also slated for publication and will be
available to OVC fans and alumni in December.
