Five-game win streak on the line as Golden Eagles visit Middle Tennessee State
Winners of their last five games, the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles will meet an old nemesis Tuesday night when they travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., to battle the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders at 6 p.m.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Tech baseball team puts a
five-game winning streak on the line Tuesday night when the Golden
Eagles visit Murfreesboro, Tenn., to tangle with an old nemisis in
Middle Tennessee State University.
Tech (18-19 overall) is coming off three-game sweep against
Ohio Valley Conference foe Eastern Illinois in which the Golden
Eagles received stellar pitching performances. Middle Tennessee
(22-14) took two of three from Troy over the weekend.
Tech will start sophomore righthander Matthew Shepherd (1-0/9.49
ERA). Middle Tennessee will send Daniel Palo (0-1/5.25 ERA).
It's the first of two meetings in 2010 between the two long-time
rivals. MTSU will pay a return visit to Cookeville on May 11 for a
6 p.m. contest.
