Tennessee Tech hosts its first baseball alumni reunion
Former Golden Eagle players spanning nearly 60 years will be on hand Saturday when Tennessee Tech hosts its first Baseball Alumni Reunion. The cookout and reunion will proceed when Tech hosts the Murray State Thoroughbreds in Ohio Valley Conference play Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bush Stadium.
COOKEVIILLE, Tenn. - Former Golden Eagle players spanning nearly
60 years will be on hand Saturday when Tennessee Tech hosts its
first Baseball Alumni Reunion. The cookout and reunion will proceed
when Tech hosts the Murray State Thoroughbreds in Ohio Valley
Conference play Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bush Stadium.
Hall of Fame inductee David Mays, who coached 25 successful Golden
Eagle Baseball seasons from 1974-1998, teams up with Tech to host
the reunion, which begins at 12 p.m. with a pre-game tailgate
party. Tennessee Tech and the Golden Eagles want to reconnect
former players with the new student athletes.
Former student athletes will be honored on Quillen Field at the
Averitt Express Baseball Complex directly after game one of the OVC
doubleheader.
Game three of the series against the Thoroughbreds begins at 1 p.m.
Sunday.
