Fans - Last chance to get OVC Tourney tickets at deepest discount
Golden Eagle basketball fans are reminded that the special offer for the absolute lowest price on OVC Basketball Tournament tickets is in its final week. The offer is only allowed by the league through Monday to save $120 on all-session tickets.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- Fans who are looking forward to watching
Tennessee Tech play first-round OVC Tournament games in Eblen
Center....it's not gonna happen. Not this year.
And it's not because the women's and men's teams won't be in the
tourney field -- on the contrary, we think both Golden Eagle squads
will finish the regular season near the top of the standings.
Nobody is hosting a first-round game this year because the entire
OVC tournament, all 16 qualifying teams, is headed to Nashville's
Municipal Auditorium, March 2-5. The new format will feature eight
men's and eight women's teams playing in a total of eight sessions
over the four days.
The cost to purchase indivdual session tickets to all eight
sessions would be $180, but Golden Eagle fans have until Monday,
Jan. 31, to purchase an all-session pass from the Athletics Ticket
Office in Eblen Center for only $60. That's a savings of $120, or
66 percent!
Tech officials are encouraging Golden Eagle fans to make plans to
head to Nashville for the entire tournament to support your teams.
Either make the drive each day -- or better still, stay in
Nashville and enjoy Music City USA as the Golden Eagles bid for OVC
championships and automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament.
With the high quality of teams the Golden Eagles will put on the
floor in Municipal Auditorium, it would be great for the size of
the Tech crowd to swell to the largest its ever been for the OVC
Tournament. So, how about it Golden Eagle fans? Are you with
us?
And, while we're at it, let's get the party started in the Eblen
Center all throughout February. Tech hosts seven more nights of
basketball, so let's fill the arena with noise.
You can call the Athletics Ticket Office at (931) 372-3940 to
order your OVC Tournament tickets, and also get your tickets to any
(how about all) of the games in February.
It all starts next Thursday, February 3 with a doubleheader
against Eastern Kentucky.
